The Consular Club has set November 19th, 2011 as the date for its 18th annual Charity Bazaar at its new venue Diamond Place.
Due to overwhelming support by attendees and participants alike, the popular Consular Club Charity Bazaar has relocated to a new larger venue at Diamond Place (15A Ho Van Hue, P9. Phu Nhuan District HCMC - www.diamondplace.com.vn ). The Charity Bazaar is organized by members of the Consular Club, an organization compromised of members from the various diplomatic missions and trade representatives in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event begins at 10 AM and lasts until 2 PM. In addition to purchasing international goods and food, visitors can also purchase tickets for the popular Grand Raffle. Lucky draw tickets are available for 50,000 VND each. Past prizes have included airline tickets, resort stays, spa packages, and much more. All prizes in the raffle are valued at more than US $100.
Santa Claus will be there to have his photo taken with children and adults as well as to breathe the festive atmosphere of Christmas into the event. Organizers expect this year’s Bazaar to attract crowds of expatriates and Vietnamese alike that should exceed the 1,900 attendees from last year’s bazaar.
Entry tickets cost 80,000 VND for adults. Children under 10 accompanied by an adult enter free of charge.
The spacious new Diamond Place will continue in the traditions of Charity Bazaars’ past – selling goods and foods from all over the world for a good cause. Proceeds from the Charity Bazaar are redistributed to help those less fortunate in the community. Projects supported by the Consular Club through funds generated from the Charity Bazaar range from scholarships, to medical care, improved rainwater purification, flood relief and more. All Consular Club members volunteer their time to work towards improving the quality of life of the disadvantaged in Vietnam.
